Aaron Lam is an author and filmmaker who lives in Oakville. When he isn't typing away furiously on his laptop, he can usually be found with his nose in a good, meaty tome about paleontology or the history of cinema.
His books include The Fake-Chicken Kung Fu Fighting Blues, Believing a Man Can Fly, and Composing Adventure, which is scheduled for release next year.

Mimika has always been a sucker for stories. Growing up in rural Brampton, ON she spent her days as a child writing stories, poems and scripts before eventually transitioning to songwriting as a teen. After graduating high school she began studying with Berklee College of Music as a songwriting major and releasing music independently. In 2020 she started a new project, the mini mixtape series. Each mixtape features 2-3 songs and focuses on a few distinct emotions. They give a deep dive into Mimika’s life and story and let fans into some of the most intimate moments of her life. The newest instalment ‘My Feelings Hurt’ is available for presave now and will be released on October 23rd.
Carol Mak + Randy
A Cappella group
Mak is an emerging singer, songwriter and composer based in Toronto, Canada. In addition to her budding career as a solo artist, she is a member of several contemporary vocal ensembles in which she arranges and performs.
Her songs have been broadcast on national radio – recently, her single Bruises was selected as one of 10 finalists in Fairchild Radio’s SongQuest 2020 Competition and won the “Best Lyrics” award. Her music is available on streaming platforms and has gained a following from all over the world.
Randy Chang is a singer, arranger, and music educator from Taiwan, based in Toronto. His musical influences include Tori Kelly, Christina Aguilera, and H.E.R., as well as influence from romantic piano composers. In addition to singing he plays the violin and piano.
Billie the Kid
Billie the Kid is a K’ai Taile Dené and Nehiyaw spoken word poet and storyteller. Originally from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, she currently resides in Kingston, Ontario, the traditional home of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples. Drawing inspiration from poets such as Ian Keteku, Janice Jo Lee, and Billy-Ray Belcourt, her poetry breathes life into narratives as she explores relationships with family, friends, food, and the dynamic nature of dreams.
Kristen Smith is a maritimer currently ashore in Toronto. She is pursuing doctoral studies at York University, concentrating on the intersections of poetry and sound. In addition to her many academic publications, Kristen’s creative work has appeared in Canthius, Naugatuck River Review, and SewerLid Magazine. She was selected as one of six poets internationally to participate in the Writing with Style program at the Banff Centre. Also, one of her poetry collections, Voices, was awarded the Graham Atlantic Writing Prize. Her poem, “here,” recently won second place in NRR’s Narrative Poetry Contest (2019).
