HELP US HELP KITTIES LIKE...
The Hoarding 9--(Peanut, Eclair, Macaroon, Pee Wee, Harpo, Wishbone, Jazelle and Jazlene) who were held as evidence in a court case against their owner(Hoarder) and left in a high kill animal control labeled "RESCUE ONLY".. So many medical bills with this bunch.. Peanut and Eclair had stomatitis so badly they required full mouth extractions and both suffered ringworm, pneumonia, pasteurella with so many cultures, tests, ultrasounds, surgeries that it took thousands of dollars and about 8 months to get them well. Several had microeyes, one needed ear surgery, a few others battled ringworm for a lengthy period.
Trinity was a little orange kitten dumped at a rural high kill animal control where they had no resources to help her non functioning leg. It appeared she was paralyzed. Before we could get her to surgery she gnawed off her toes (a phenomenon that can occur with this) and was rushed to Emergency. She had her leg amputated, spent her rehab with her wonderful foster family and found her forever home!
Silas was dumped at another high kill animal control with a leg that the shelter vet determined had to go immediately. We saved him but he suffered complications from infection and it was discovered had necrotic tissue that had to be removed. He underwent a 2nd surgery, spent his time healing with our vet tech foster mom and was adopted to a wonderful couple who volunteer with us!
Tiffany & Tolbert were surrendered to an animal control with what seemed to be untreated conjunctivitis that went on so long that the shelter had an eye removed from each. Once we took them in, it was determined that they would require a second surgery to remove tear ducts and properly seal the socket area.
Solovina was just a couple days old found on the hot pavement near where we hold our adoption events. She was one of the lucky ones who was found in time and had the dedication of a bottle feeding team of foster moms to raise her.
