People must be educated on the truth about community cats, feral. That making feeding bans, removing them, or murdering them just does not and never will work. TNR is the only way that works and is humane. A managed colony is healthy, carries no disease that can be transmitted to humans. The last reported rabies being transmitted to a human from a cat was in 1975. TNR helped in a big way because, all of the managed colony cats have been vaccinated. Once we establish a colony, we maintain them for as long as there is a colony. This is why we need funds to keep them safe, healthy, and loved.
