June kicked off my season-long triathlon with a 1.2-mile swim in Outer New Bedford Harbor. On August 18th I will run 7-miles along the brilliant coast of Falmouth and end the season with a 75-mile peddle around the Bay’s amazing countryside in October.
There are countless reasons why I work on behalf of the Bay but my inspirations are my daughters, Charlotte (age 10) and Gretchen (age 8). Whether it is through training for one of these outstanding athletic events, or through giving the Bay a voice in Town Halls, the State House, or in Court – I work to show them they have the strength to protect the Bay we love, that their voices are powerful and will be heard, and that persistence is required to advocate for change.
This year I set a goal of raising $1,000 to support the work that we do here at the Coalition. Please help me reach this goal and show my girls that people will exercise their power to protect the Bay and support the Coalition’s critical work.
