On May 16th, Mayor Kevin Faulconer directed the City of San Diego to REMOVE ALL 571 PARKING SPACES on 30TH ST from Adams Ave to Juniper St in order to install protected bike lanes. If the bike lanes are installed, this will mean that ALL parking in front of homes and businesses from Adams to Upas (409 spaces) and all parking in front of apartments, homes and businesses from Upas to Juniper (162 spaces) will be eliminated. When you visit businesses on 30th St, you will have to park at least a block or more away. If you live on 30th St, you also will have to park at least a block or more away. AND, if you live on Dale, 29th, Granada or Grim, 31st, or Herman, or any of the East/West Streets in between, you can forget about parking in front of your own home.
We are raising funds to FIGHT THIS DIRECTIVE which was expedited through a questionable "approval" process that basically bypassed business owners and residents. DON'T ACCEPT IT! PLEASE JOIN US BY DONATING NOW.
Note: "Save 30th Street Parking” has retained an attorney to gather information about how this happened, how we can stop small, special interest groups from having more influence on our politicians than business owners and residents do, and how we can fight this initiative if we have to. As such, we need your financial help. Please support the residents and merchants of North Park in their effort to regain control of our community to Save 30th Street Parking.
Our Mission is to Stop the Removal of Any Parking on 30th Street from Juniper to Adams
