Chloe was my soulmate. She was the sweetest, spunkiest Shih Tzu who somehow tolerated my obsessive affection for her. For 7 years we were an unstoppable duo--sharing the highs and lows of my twenties, experiencing so many trips and adventures (she loved nice hotel sheets), and loving each other fiercely. Losing Chloe this winter was heartbreaking to say the least. It felt like my heart was ripped from my body and that gaping hole would never heal.
Cue my incredible SCCR family and amazing adoptable pups. This group shared my pain, lifted me up, and has allowed me to continue honoring Chloe's memory through saving more deserving dogs like her. Chloe's favorite job was being a foster sister to dozens of dogs that passed through our home in the past 7 years. She was always eager to welcome a new friend, show them the ropes, and help them find their human soulmate like she had.
Completing families was something Chloe and I loved to do together. I am continuing this work in her memory and the opening of SCCR's Adoption Center will help us create even more perfect matches. My goal is to raise $2,500 to name a kennel in honor of soulmates and all of those that have found their furry best friend.
Please help me reach this goal by joining my team as a fundraiser or giving a gift today. Each dollar helps me, and so many amazing pups, reach our goal.
