WHY MUSIC ?
Save The Music Foundation recognizes the wide-ranging and fundamental importance of music education in a child’s development, and recent research confirms its significance.
Research has shown that musical study develops critical thinking and self-discipline skills and improves a child's early cognitive development, basic math and reading abilities, self-esteem, SAT scores, ability to work in teams, spatial reasoning skills, and school attendance.
The inclusion of an instrumental music program in public schools not only helps to educate a child, it helps to form a complete and well-rounded person.
