South Hills Pet Rescue, a non-profit organization, is one of only a few adoption facilities in Washington County, PA.
Since opening our doors to dogs in need in 2013, close to 4,000 dogs (and counting) have been rescued and have found their forever homes with the help of SHPR.
Unfortunately, we do not receive any state or government funding since we are a rescue and not a shelter. What we do is only possible with support from the community. We need your help paying for medical care of the dogs!
In the last 3 years we have spent $348,937 in medical bills alone. We work with fabulous vets, yet we are still behind over $70,000 in owed medical bills. Until we can get these debts paid off, we can not help anymore medical dogs like Angel, Anna, Tinley and Mahina.
As a rescue, we take in dogs from shelters that have not been able to find homes, and we are their last hope. Angel came to us from another shelter as a pregnant puppy that had been abused, abandoned, totally deaf and partially blind. She had 8 healthy puppies in our care and she and her pups have all been placed in loving homes. Tinley lost a back leg due to abuse, and now has a furever home. We also take in Jindo dogs that have been rescued from Asian meat markets, like Mahina, that now has a special home. We cannot and do not let them down! We at SHPR pride ourselves on helping the sick, scared and unwanted!! Please help us get back to what we know and love. HELPING the HELPLESS.
On behalf of everyone at SHPR, both furry and non-furry, thank you for being part of the SHPR family and for helping us save lives through rescue and responsible adoption.
Please give what you can and share with all that you know!!!
Thank you from the bottom of the fur babies hearts!!
