PLEASE HELP! OUR BOWLING CENTERS ARE IN TROUBLE
Remember when you were young and going to watch your parents bowl? Remember the first time you were able to throw your very own bowling ball ? Remember joining your first league? How about all of the lifelong friendships made during the years of bowling?
As we have seen recently, Bowling is headed toward becoming a sport of the past due to COVID-19 restrictions. Unfortunately, another local bowling center has closed its doors due to these restrictions. With this, the Greater Portland USBC is on a mission to help our centers as much as possible.
This GoFundMe page is being created to collect any donations you wish to submit. The Greater Portland USBC is a non-profit organization, thus all donations will be distributed among all of the bowling centers within the association. The GPUSBC has reached out to our centers to ask how to help, and the feedback has been "anything helps, ANYTHING!" With this at hand, here is how it works:
Any donation that you wish to make will be distributed evenly across all the bowling centers within the association.
If you wish to have your funds go directly to a specific bowling center, you can specify that information in the comments section, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting your donation be designated to a specific center (Bowling Centers are listed below)
Additionally, everyone who donates will receive a 501C3 Tax Donation Letter to be emailed to you, as long as you provide your email address when making your donation.
As every dollar counts, large or small, and the bowling centers appreciate the continued support received by competitive and recreational bowlers. Lets work together to keep our bowling centers open, even though the COVID-19 restrictions have temporarily halted operations. In addition to your donation, or consideration to donate, it is asked that you share this on your social media to friends, family, and/or business owners who would like to help.
The goal is $100,000 to start, which appears to be difficult, but never impossible. It has been said that Bowlers are the nicest people in the world. We all love this sport and we can all have a part of keeping the sport alive. Thank you, in advance for your consideration, continued support, and for your donation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Greater Portland USBC, via email, at email@example.com.
