Nashville Education, Community, and Arts Television, known as NECAT, is proud to introduce Feel Good Fridays, a new weekly television show to help local non-profit organizations raise money during these challenging times. Impacted by both a tornado and a pandemic, Nashville area non-profits have been hard-hit. Donations to non-profits have all but stopped and many are struggling to keep their organizations running. NECAT wants to help share their stories and raise money for as many different non-profit organizations as possible.
Every Friday, NECAT will air a new television special highlighting a Nashville area non-profit organization, sort of like a mini telethon, to encourage people to donate and keep our non-profit organizations running through 2020 and beyond.
Our goal is $10K to be split between the non-profits which helps cover operational costs during this time of need.
NECAT is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. NECAT runs 3 public television channels: Music City Arts (our arts channel), iQtv (our education channel), and Access Nashville (our community access channel). All 3 channels are 24 hours a day and are broadcast on television via Comcast channels 9, 10, and 19 in Davidson County, via AT&T U-Verse channel 99 in 19 middle TN counties* and livestreamed on the internet 24 hour
