Meet Jackson. How can you look at this face and not see a sweet, happy dog that wants to live life to the fullest?
Jackson is a happy one year old with a lot love to give. Jackson is a bit of a camera ham. He wants to chase the tennis ball, follow me up the stairs and play with my two pups. But, he can’t at the moment. His left leg doesn't allow him to do stairs, sit or lay down easily. He's a bit off balance. I don’t know the sweet pup’s story of how he ended up in animal control.
I know we have rescued three rottweilers and found them happy homes (thank you) this year. Jackson is next. He is heart worm positive and walks with a limp. Lots of testing and x-rays were done at animal control to help identify the issue, but nothing was found. Now that we have him, we know Jackson will quickly need to have his left knee operated on, or the right one will blow out and he will no longer be mobile. He has torn his ligament and it has built up with arthritis. We have found a vet willing to reduce cost on the heart worm treatment to $450. The knee surgery will be between $1500 and $2000. Both of these have to be done to save Jackson. We have started him on the 30 day pre-work medicine to prepare him for the heart worm treatment.
We are going on faith as to how this will be funded. Can you please help with this lovable boy’s surgery? Any amount will get us closer. Any amount over will go to fund a rescue with a broken jaw.
