Neighborhood Gardens Trust (NGT) is Philadelphia’s neighborhood garden protector. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit that secures and preserves shared open spaces where Philadelphians work together to cultivate food, flowers, and community — and we need your help!
Despite the fact that community gardens are more essential than ever in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, like so many other non-profits we were forced to cancel our spring events and now face a financial shortfall. Please make a contribution today to ensure our staff and gardeners can continue to do their critical work.
The healthy fruits and vegetables grown at community gardens across the city supplement household budgets and thousands of pounds are donated as emergency food supplies. These gardens also provide spaces for city residents to experience the healing effects of time in nature.
NGT has been working since 1986 to protect gardens so our city and residents can continue to reap the social, health, environmental, and economic benefits they provide. We’ve protected 49 open spaces across the city to-date and we are working to protect 70 by 2022.
Please donate to the Save Essential Philly Gardens campaign today so we can keep doing our important and time-sensitive work to save more gardens.
Your tax-deductible contribution will help Philadelphians stay healthy, stay fed, and stay connected!
