Durward's Glen Retreat Center has been a vital part of many organizations as their retreat center for times of refreshing, business meetings, workshops, children's education, religious retreats and much more! Founded on Nov. 1, 1862 by Bernard I. Durward who was a portrait artist, naturalist and devout Catholic, the Glen has proven its longevity for our surrounding communities and around the world. People from all walks of life come to Durward's Glen to hike, relax, be surrounded by the beauty of the Glen, fish for trout in Prentice Creek, pray the Stations of the Cross, visit the Immaculate Conception Chapel still in use and to find the peace that they seek.
Durward's Glen in located in the stunning Baraboo Bluffs, nestled away from the busyness of every day life. This has proved a home away from home for several businesses and retreats for over 20 years consecutively as well as for many reunions, birthdays and even an occasional wedding.
Through this time of global pandemic and COVID-19, Durward's Glen, like many other businesses and non-profits, has been shut down and has lost a tremendous portion of its income. This is where the rubber meets the road: we need your help to save Durward's Glen and help it to continue to be a place of rest for the weary and a cool drink in the dry desert. Please consider helping the Glen! We thank you for your consideration and generosity!
