Save a Veteran
Operation Therapy is a national charity created to provide service dogs for veterans suffering from PTSD so they can better make the difficult transition back to civilian life - and in some cases save that life. This campaign is specially designed to help a veteran from Southern California. Once we complete this campaign we select a local veteran and carefully review their personal needs in order to create a customized training program to make sure they get the best service dog possible. We will send you updates when we choose the veteran and let you know how the puppy is doing with its training. We will also send you photos when the veteran gets their service dog. It will be a life-changing journey. This campaign will provide a service dog to a veteran. But it is more than just giving a service dog to a veteran. It is giving the veteran their life back. With PTSD, many veterans cannot go into open spaces like parking lots, fields or beaches. They cannot pick up their kids from school or take them to a baseball game. They cannot go to the mall with their families or even take their spouse for dinner in a restaurant. All of that changes when we give them a PTSD service dog. The service dog restores the veterans confidence. With the service dog the veteran can go into open spaces because they feel secure, like they did in the military when another soldier “had their back”. They can once again go into open spaces, parking lots, fields and beaches. They can pick-up their kids from school and take their spouse on dates. This campaign not only gives a PTSD service dog to a veteran but it also gives a child their parent back. It gives a husband a wife the ability to go out to dinner or anywhere else they wish to go. This campaign will give a veteran their life back. But providing this crucial assistance to a veteran suffering from PTSD is not easy. It requires a commitment of both time and financial resources ... which is why Operation Therapy is asking for your financial support today in order to reach our goal of $30,000, the approximate total cost of providing a service dog to a veteran in need.
Where Is Your Money Going?
Every dollar of this campaign will go toward the service dog and the veteran who receives it. The money will pay for the dog, its training and care. The campaign also pays all of the expenses for the veteran to be trained with the service dog including travel, housing and other expenses. It is very important to know that every dollar you donate to this campaign will be used to provide a fully trained PTSD service dog to a veteran. It is also important to know this will all be done with absolutely no cost to the veteran. This campaign pays for their travel and training when they get the service dog.
Thank you for helping a Veteran
Your donation is a way to say, “Thank you for your service” in more than just words. It is a way to directly repay the debt we all owe our veterans for all that they’ve given us. It is a way to let them know that you, too, “have their back,” and are willing to join them in their battle to get their life back.
No price is too high to save the life of a veteran.
So please give what you can today ... and give a veteran a tomorrow.
