Dear Family and Friends,
I've been dancing at The Colorado Conservatory of Dance, CCD, for 8 years. This is my 4th year dancing in the Nutcracker, and this year I'm cast in the roles of Chinese and Mouse.
I love dancing and performing on stage. Each week, I take 8 dance classes and volunteer as a class assistant, helping teach ballet to 5 year-olds, the same age I was when I started dancing!!! I absolutely love it! CCD is a great place to have fun and meet friends and spend time with fellow dancers. For me, I really enjoy having the opportunity to perform, and through my dance, I learn respect, discipline, investment and pride in myself.
We need your help to raise money to cover production costs and also support the Conservatory and it's public outreach programs. CCD provides arts education to students who wouldn't otherwise have access to learn about dance and attend professional productions, like the Nutcracker. Since 2006, CCD's anti-bullying ballet has been seen by over 20,000 students in local elementary schools. Your donations allow us to provide this program free of charge.
Please consider making a small donation to CCD, to help me reach my goal of $500.
Nothing would make me happier than if you could come see me perform this December. In addition to my 9 classes, I'll be rehearsing every Saturday between now and Christmas, and I can hardly wait for opening night!
Thank you!
With Love, Savannah
