The fact that you are taking the time to read this, already makes me want to cry. Here's my cautious but optimistic update... After almost 3 years to the date that we moved here to the PNW, Sascha is off her meds! Part of me wants to do cart wheels from here to D.C., but history has taught me to take this JDM journey one day at a time. This funky disease can be tricky. Since Sascha was 4, we have been off meds twice and have never been able to shout remission, but we remain hopeful. Sascha is an official teenage this year, she has a big personality and ton of people who love her, for THIS we are forever grateful. There has been tears and heartache with this journey, but it has also taught us to love harder, to be grateful for each minute, and to appreciate everyone in our lives. Thank you so much for any contribution you have given to support CUREJM, we may not be in remission yet, but our hope reaches a larger scale of not just remission but a CURE. A cure, not just for Sascha, but for every cutie pie that has to battle this monster as part of their childhood. And if you're local and would like to join, we'd love to see you at the walk on Oct 6th.
