I have the honor of representing the Newton Food Pantry (NFP) in the 2018 Boston Marathon. I started running with a neighborhood group a couple of years ago and it has been a wonderful experience. Thanks to them I ran my first marathon (Chicago) last year and am inspired to run again in support of this wonderful cause.
Please support me as I fundraise for the Newton Food Pantry. Regina Wu, my number one cheerleader, is deeply involved in this charity and I am proud to be associated with it and her. My Indian roots make the issue of hunger and food scarcity in the midst of affluence, a familiar one. The Newton Food Pantry provides much needed help to less fortunate families in our community, many of whom have young children in need.
As an immigrant living the American dream, I am grateful for the many opportunities I have had along the way which makes it possible for me to be a part of this wonderful neighborhood. My wife and I work hard to instill in our son an understanding of our humble roots, how fortunate we are to enjoy our current lifestyle, and that we have a responsibility to help others.
Please join me in making sure that hunger has no place in our neighborhood. Through CrowdRise, all donations to my campaign go directly to NFP and are therefore tax deductible charitable donations. In addition, many companies match gifts, I would encourage you to ask whether your company does!
Thank you for your generosity and support.
