During these times when social distancing is temporarily the norm because of COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to stay connected with family, friends, and each other. It’s also important to stay active, fit, and healthy. The SARDAA Fitness challenge is a great way to do just that! And at the same time, it’s an opportunity to help make a positive impact on the lives of people affected by schizophrenia and related disorders.
You’ll get three prompts a week for exercises that can help you stay fit, while also social distancing. For example, how long can you hold a plank? How many sit ups and jumping jacks do you think you can you do?

You’ll get guidelines on how to set exercise milestones. You’ll also be able to rally family, friends, and community members to participate and donate to SARDAA when you reach those milestones. And every dollar raised through this fundraiser will be used to help foster hope, provide self-help peer support groups for individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia or a related brain disorder, as well as increase awareness through education and advocacy programs.
We’re all in this together. And by working together, we can not only motivate each other to stay active and fit during these challenging times, but also improve the lives of people affected by psychosis.
