This week (October 1-5), I am participating in The Junior League of Phoenix’s Little Black Dress Initiative https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/sarah-pickett-wilsons-lbdi-page, a campaign to raise awareness of the issue of health limits in Arizona. In our state, food insecurity affects almost one in six. And on the flip side, obesity rates have skyrocketed in the past 20 years. It’s clear: health and nutrition must become a priority.
As an advocate against health limitations, I will be wearing one black outfit for five working days in a row as a representational limit of the issues JLP is fighting against in our community: limits in health and education. JLP community programs provide nutritious food to hungry children and teach our youth important self-care to keep them healthy.
I hope you will support me in this initiative by making a donation to the JLP’s Little Black Dress Initiative https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/sarah-pickett-wilsons-lbdi-page which will make an impact in JLP's efforts to focus on building a healthy Arizona. My goal is to raise $600, that's $100 for every year I have been a member of the Junior League. Please check out my fundraising page https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/sarah-pickett-wilsons-lbdi-page to get involved.
Thank you and warmest regards,
Sarah Picket Wilson
