I was told by my doctor not to worry about the small pea-sized lump in my breast. I heeded that advice, but within just three months that tiny lump grew to the size of a large grape. After getting a second opinion, I was quickly diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in March 2016. I was told that one out of eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer. I never thought that one would be me.
I had to undergo five months of chemo, several surgeries and had a few complications thrown into the mix. I stayed positive through this journey with the incredible support of family, friends, doctors and Ann's Place. I know how lucky I am because of their support--I am a survivor. Cancer is on the rise and too many people are diagnosed every day--they need all the support they can get to survive this devastating disease. Please help them survive by donating to Ann's Place where they will receive everything from free counseling and wellness programs to educational resources and family support.
