With the world facing unprecedented challenges, we are compelled to address, prevent, and provide relief to COVID-19 concerns both in Minnesota and in Somalia. Consequently, we are requesting $15,000 to provide food, supplies, and support to 300 orphan youth who are blind, deaf, or living with other disabilities in Mogadishu, Somalia.
Your donation will help provide basic food, protective programs, educational support, and more. Your efforts will limit the spread of the COVID-19 for our most vulnerable populations — providing essentials like face masks and gloves for health workers; antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, and emergency supplies for the children and their families; as well as health training to keep everyone safe, healthy, and informed.
SAMRADO is a charitable nonprofit organization serving Deaf, blind, and persons living with other disabilities in Somalia and Minnesota. Our mission is to provide culturally appropriate sustainable educational and recreational opportunities; to challenge perception towards people who live with disabilities, and to empower Deaf and blind and orphan children so they can transform their own lives.
