Life is hard, and when people suffer from anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses, suicide may seem like the only solution for their pain. The more resources that exist for those who struggle, the greater the chance is that we can give hope to those who desperately need it.
My fundraising goal is $1000. The money will go directly to the Samaritans Suicide Prevention Center who currently work with crisis response, prevention planning, professional development and training, suicide survivor support groups, and other related services in the NYC area. Any donation is greatly appreciated!!! ♥♥♥
By making a donation to Samaritans 'Be A Friend' running team, you will be taking an important step in joining Samaritans staff and network of over 100 caring volunteers on our mission to prevent suicide.
Samaritans operates the only community-based organization in the NYC area devoted solely to helping people in distress and saving lives for over 30 years. In that time, hundreds of Samaritans volunteers responded to 1.3 million calls on our 24-hour crisis hotline, our public education program trained over 40,000 health providers and our support groups for survivors of suicide loss provided solace to over 1,000 people.
Your support will enable us to continue our important work as well as raise awareness about the current suicide epidemic and the keys to addressing it.
