At the end of 2018, LifeStraw reached 2,190,569 kids with a year of safe water.
LifeStraw has been providing access to safe water to schools in western Kenya since 2014. We accomplish this through the distribution of high-volume LifeStraw Community water purifiers. Each purifier serves 75-100 school children and lasts 3-5 years as it filters approximately 100,000 liters of water. But we’re just beginning to reach the massive number of schools and school children without access to safe water in Kenya.
With your help, we don't plan on slowing down!
Your donation helps us continue to check in on the existing schools we've reached (so far, 1,633!) and will help us continue to expand to additional vulnerable schools in new target counties. Several of these counties have experienced recent outbreaks of waterborne disease including cholera and typhoid.
