Love Never Fails exists to empower all people to express and experience our best sense of humanity. We do this by restoring, educating, and protecting survivors of human trafficking and their community.
Since 2011 we have housed 137 women and children, rescued over 100 women and children with the help of law enforcement and partnering agencies, educated thousands in schools and the community, and provided our housing graduates and other vulnerable community members professional training that prepares them for sustainable jobs in sectors such as IT, real estate, banking, etc.
Our focus on human trafficking began 9 years ago when our founder’s 15-year-old dance student was assaulted and sold throughout California for a year. Heartbroken and angry, she responded by activating a group of advocates throughout the Bay Area that would go on to achieve the outcomes mentioned above.
Recently our founder had another encounter with a 15-year-old victim who like her original student was tricked and trafficked. When we looked for a long-term housing option in the Bay Area for this young lady that would allow parents to retain their parental rights, we could find none.
In fact, we were deeply saddened to learn that the programs we used to turn to were closed or had moved out of state. Rather than shrinking back, we are pressing forward and doing whatever is necessary to ensure that this innocent child and others like her will have a chance to live a safe and healthy life.
As of today, we have identified a house and assembled a team of skilled trauma informed residential leaders (Turntable Housing and SoulJen Solutions) that will deliver a clinical art based program to these children, giving them a chance to express themselves freely and heal.
We also identified that the parents need healing and have designed our program to include a focus on the restoration of the entire family.
Our target opening is August 2020 because of the immediate need to house child survivors of human trafficking in the Bay Area.
Our financial goal of $150k will ensure that we have qualified people delivering the care needed to restore children and their families.
Thank you for helping us to provide a safe place for healing of child survivors of human trafficking!
