As many of you know, I have chosen to raise funds and awareness to various charitable campaings by running in past Chicago marathons for various causes. This year, I am running the Washington DC marathon for the Children's Inn at NIH. The NIH conducts numerous clinical trials that yield potentially life-saving results. The Children's Inn at NIH affords children and their families the chance to stay on NIH's campus in Bethesda, MD while participating in clinical trials that could save their lives. Working in the healthcare advocacy field, I have seen the amazing things that can come from access to clinical trials. Each dollar raised fuels access to the research that makes childhood possible for the more than 14,000 kids, traveling from all 50 states and 94 different countries, who have stayed at The Inn.
