Dear Colleagues, Friends & Family,
I'm raising funds by participating in the Tough Mudder with IBISWorld to help keep children safe, engaged and connected to positive role models when school is out!
Each year, more than 505 children attend the Bedford-Stuyvesant Y’s Summer Day Camp to learn new skills, make new friends, and, quite simply, have the time of their lives.
The summer camps keep kids (5-16) active and safe while allowing the parents access to quality child care at low or no costs.
Many are able to enjoy that experience thanks to scholarships supported by generous donors.
It would mean the world to me if you would join me in supporting the Y.
As someone who grew up in the YMCA, I know that the promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle from early childhood development goes a long way in creating positive long term habits.
Among private nonprofits, the Y is the largest youth services provider in New York. The Y is open and inclusive: we serve all people regardless of background or citizenship status. Most of the youth we serve come from underserved communities and low-income households.
When you give, you help the Y provide life-changing opportunities to the children of our city.
At the Y, we know that every summer can be the best summer ever!
