This January 13th, I will be swimming in my 2nd Frogman Swim event. This is a 5k (3.1miles) open water swim across Tampa Bay in water that is typically in the mid-50s. This very special and limited entry event is a major fundraising event that contributes directly towards the Navy SEALs Foundation and honoring those warriors by helping the Gold Star families of those fallen heros. The one thing that is the most special about this event to me is, upon completion of the swim, you are given a finisher's medal from a family member of one of these fallen heros. I've crossed 2 Ironman finish lines in my life, and while those are always an amazing feeling and experience, it still doesn't compare to the experience of this event's finish line and cause.
For a different twist to this effort, I will personally match dollar for dollar the first $400 that is raised via this donation site by January 10th! Also, whatever amount I match, my employer will match dollar for dollar. So even just a $5 or $10 donation, can multiply up very quickly and make a huge difference!
