I started this journey ten years ago on a whim, figuring it would be interesting to participate after reading about it on the RedSox website. Looked at it as a novelty, I could participate in the inaugural race, raise the money, do the run and cross home plate. Then other members of my family thought it would be fun to participate, with more joining as the years go by. Now on the tenth year of the RunToHomeBase event, I'm in my 10th year as a participant and look forward to the run to raise funds for our Military Heroes and their Families. It has been a pleasure to participate and be able to raise money with my family members for this great cause. This will be my last year participating, but my family members will continue where I left off.
