If you made it here you likely know what this is for but maybe not so here is the short version.
I am a husband and father of two kids, I recently finished graduate school and recieved my PhD in Nutrition science focused on cancer immunology. However, after a one year post doc that was interupted by COVID and further COVID issues accorss campuses in the USA, finding a job has bee difficult. I finally landed a limited term job and then was diagnosed with a rare form of lemphoma and am now in treatment... actually writing this while on chemo as an in patient.
Anyway, as a graduate student I become disenchanted with the current public awareness and funding for rare or lesser know cancers. It seems like every thing has been pink washed to the point that it's hard to remember so many other cancers exist and patients, doctors and researcher need help to find better treatmernts and hopefully cures. So here I am.
I want to use this campaign to help gain awareness of the lemphoma ribbon---lime green and hopefully raise some support.
They are helping my family and I with some travel expenses and I know others need these types of help as well.
Any amount is very appriciated.
