Recently I’ve felt led to use my running not just to inspire others, but to do my part in helping those who are struggling.
After reading Ryan Hall’s book, Run the Mile You’re In, as well as Lopez’s book, “Running for My Life”, my heart broke for those in extreme poverty in Africa. The Steps Foundation reaches out to those in Ethiopia— specifically women and children (most of which are orphans)— to help provide medical care, clean water, nutrition, and resources and classes to help them get out of poverty.
On top of the heart of “Running for Two” (thinking of and praying for others as we run), running to do a small part in reaching those in dire need of help just seems right.
I would LOVE for you to join me on this adventure! Every little bit of support helps!
