I'm running wild (actually it's a race) to save wildlife! Why? Because poaching, habitat loss, and human/wildlife conflict are threatening Africa's unique wildlife, so I'll be running a half marathon to raise funds for Tusk, an organization that is dedicated to advancing wildlife conservation in Africa. Tusk support and partner with leading conservationists across Africa, as well as work with local organizations to support their conservation efforts. They have been doing this for more than 30 years, and it works. Tusk's projects protect more than 40 threatened species and their habitats.
Prince William became their royal patron in 2005, and this is what he said of Tusk: "Despite facing some of the greatest conservation challenges to international conservation in history, Tusk continues to be a shining light in what are tragically dark times for Africa’s wildlife."
Here's the link to Tusk. Check it out to see what wonderful work this organization is doing:

The race will take place in Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. It is considered one of the toughest marathons in the world, but I am up to the challenge! And what could be more amazing than running alongside Kenya's wildlife? Here's a link to a short video which highlights what I can expect to experience.
