One of the most basic life necessities, we take for granted every day, WATER! At our school of 420 students and 104 full time residents, we are desperately needing to get them running water. When I visited in July of this year, the children were walking 2Km three times a day to fetch water to live on, taking them out of the classroom and taking a toll on their little bodies.
We have just received a donation that will allow us to drill the well on the school property! ~*~*Happy dance*~*~ That was Phase 1. Check mark! The well was completed this week, 9/20/18!
Phase 2: We need a Solar Pump and a Water Tank System that will provide running water to all of the buildings around the school compound. The Total to make this happen is $8600.
We have now purchased the two water tanks to begin Phase 2. We still need the piping system and solar pump.
By getting the tank system and running water to all parts of the campus, we can move forward with our plan of being a fully self-sufficient campus by being able to grow food and raise animals. We will also be able to have immediate water for cooking food for the children and for cleaning and washing. In addition, we will have running water to the missionary housing making it possible for more groups to visit the school and help out with various needs and projects around the campus.
All of your donations are fully tax deductible and all of your money goes directly to this project or as you designate. We do not take any administrative fees out of these donations. It takes a village to save a village! By investing in these little lives you are investing in a plan to transform Uganda. Thank you!
