On September 29th I will be racing in the Spartan World Championships and hoping to raise some funds for the CARES Foundation which is committed to improving the lives of families and individuals affected by Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH).
I am excited to have qualified to run in the Spartan World Championships after switching from ultramarathon running to obstacle course racing in early 2018, and the course in Lake Tahoe is going to be a real challenge as I switch from the flat desert conditions of Qatar, to the elevation and mountains of Tahoe with some snow in the weather forecast.
I am raising funds for the CARES Foundation, inspired by my daughter Sophie, who lives with CAH and is my little Spartan warrior. This is my fourth fundraiser for the CARES Foundation, and if I raise $765 more, I will hit $5000 overall, so please help me raise funds for a worthy cause. Without the proper screening and treatment those born with CAH can face life-threatening conditions, and even when identified, those living with CAH need life-long treatment. However with early identification and management those living with CAH can go on to live normal lives.
While I face the challenge of the Spartan World Champs, please help those affected by CAH by giving a little if you can.
