Running For those Who Roll
My name is Jenell M. Genardo and I have committed to raise money for the Association nearest and dearest to my mom’s heart. My mom, Pat Genardo, was an RN for over 40 years, a Nurse Case Manager, owner and founding partner of Elite Care Management, Inc and sat on the Board of The Spinal Cord Injury Association of Illinois (SCIA) for over 20 years. She had a passion for her patients, and a commitment to people with Spinal Cord Injuries, Brain Injuries, and Catstrophic Illnesses. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and lost her battle after 5 years in May of 2017. Throughout her illness, she never stopped caring for people, guiding her precious company, and supporting her beloved charity. After she died, I was given the opportunity to carry on her legacy as CEO of Elite Care Management, Inc along with working my way up to the current Vice President of the Board for SCIA in my second year as a board member. Elite has currently teamed up with the Chicago Marathon to help raise money for this special and valuable non-profit organization in order to help them increase awareness and continue to change the lives of people everywhere with Spinal Cord Injuries. I, along with 9 other of my teammates from Elite, will be participating in the fundraising for the 2018 Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 7th. Please help me accomplish my goal of raising $1,000 to be donated to The Spinal Cored Injury Association of Illinois in my mom’s name. “Donations show appreciation!” Thank you Mom for all that you did throughout your life and for teaching me compassion, empathy, and how to be strong. Thank you everyone for reading this and for your support! 💙 Let the countdown begin!!!
