My name is Melissa Buehler. I am a wife, mother of 3 children, Rottweiler mom of 3 and I am also a runner. My family and I have been owned and loved by Rottweilers for over 25 years. I started running a little over 5 years ago with one of my dogs and haven't stopped. I have run 5, 10 and 15k's, 1/2 marathons and also have run 4 marathons in the past 3 years. Almost 4 years ago we added to our Rottweiler family and adopted our "Baby" from Recycled Rotts rescue. Baby was a first for us in many ways - she was our first girl we've ever owned, she has her natural tail and she was our first rescue. Thanks to Recycled Rotts we cannot imagine our life without her and will have had her for almost 4 years! This October 7th I will be running the Chicago Marathon for the 4th time and for the 4th year in a row. In honor of our Baby what better way to put foot to "paw-pose" than to run with all proceeds to benefit Recycled Rotts. Your donation will help Recycled Rotts (www.recycledrotts.org) with much needed funding to help give a better quality of life to Rottweilers and Non-Weilers too! Recycled Rotts has been helping Rottweilers since the late 80's, working hard and dedicating countless hours saving Rottweilers as well as other large Mastiff breeds. Besides rescuing in IL they have stepped in to rescue from far away states and have taken in costly medical cases too. In 2017 Recycled Rotts rescued a total of 112 dogs. Thank you in advance for your contribution and when making your donation please list the name(s) of your Rottweiler or Non-Weiler so I have motivation to keep on Running for Rottweilers.
