I'm running 13.1 miles for my sweet nephew Leo who was born with Congenital CMV, a common virus that has affected his hearing, vision, and coordination. Leo is a tough kiddo and he works hard in all his therapies to help overcome his challenges. CMV (cytomegalovirus) is the most common viral infection, and the leading non-genetic cause of hearing loss, that infants are born with in the United States. Every pregnant woman is at risk of acquiring CMV. And only 9% of women know about it. CMV is common, serious, and preventable. I'm "Running for Leo" to help raise awareness for prevention of more CMV cases. Please consider donating to this worthy cause!
