On February 19th 2019 our family lost John Vargas, my father-in-law, after he was diagnosed with Pancreatic less than a month earlier. John was passionate about giving back to the community and touched the lives of so many through his teaching and coaching. He is missed by all those who knew him, but his memory will live on and I would like to raise money for a cause that is important to my family. This will be my 2ndMarine Corps Marathon and I will be proud to run it in honor of John and all the love he has given my family.
On Sunday, October 27, 2019, the National Pancreas Foundation Team will be running through the streets of Washington, DC to raise money for cutting-edge research for those suffering from pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, advocating for new and better therapies, and providing support and education for patients, caregivers, and health care professionals.
The NPF is the only foundation dedicated to patients who are suffering from all forms of pancreas disease – pediatric pancreatitis, acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer.
Thank you for supporting our mission and helping provide hope for those with pancreas disease.
