In Latin America, millions of small-scale farming families grow high quality coffee as their main source of income. Yet low coffee prices, rising food prices, and climate change impacts prevent them from earning enough to put healthy food on the table for their families. We're working to change that.
Food 4 Farmers partners with coffee cooperatives representing more than 3,000 families in Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, and Nicaragua to help build long-term solutions to food insecurity. Together, we work to overcome the "Thin Months" of seasonal hunger by coaching and connecting families with the resources they need to grow healthy food and diversify their income -- while making sure they have the right tools to manage their own success independently. And, just as our communities here in Vermont benefit from strengthening our local food systems, so do coffee-growing communities aroun d the world.
You can help! Donate to support better livelihoods and stronger local food systems in rural coffee-farming communities.
