Help me Raise Funds for Brain Research. My name is Jaime Orozco and I am the Hospitality Manager at Staglin Family Vineyard here in the Napa Valley. Though Mexican-born, I moved to the Napa Valley when I was 5-year old and I am entering my 17th year in the wine industry. My passions include wine, fine tequila, golf, traveling, my family, friends, cooking and fitness. I’ve always enjoyed fitness and running, but now it will be serving an additional purpose: helping others!
This year, I will be running my first half-marathon as part of the Napa Valley Marathon. I will use my run as a platform to promote ONE MIND, a local nonprofit that collaborates with the nation’s leading neuroscientists to raise funds for research that ultimately will help prevent, treat and hopefully cure brain illnesses and disorders.
I am looking to raise at least $10,000 by March 3, 2019, as that is the date of my race here in the Napa Valley.
I strongly believe that good health - both physical and mental - should be a part of our lives and I have recently made running a big part of my lifestyle. Since working with Staglin Family Vineyard, I have had the opportunity to learn about ONE MIND and discover that brain illnesses affect 1 in 4 people, yet they are not addressed enough due to stigmas. By donating to my fundraiser, you can make a difference!
Your donation will be used to fund the research of various brain illnesses and conditions in hopes of creating better treatment. ONE MIND works with scientists from the nation’s leading universities, including Harvard, UCSF, MIT and UCLA, to name a few. Thank you in advance for your contribution. Your donation will be a motivation for me to finish my race, get others to join my team and hopefully inspire others to raise additional funds.
