Hello Family and Friends,
I will be running in Duluth's Garry Bjorklund's Half Marathon on June 16th and I'm committed to raise a minimum of $1,000 as a charity runner for the organization Positive Energy Outdoors.
I want to help make sure children from disadvantaged backgrounds have opportunities to get outside in Duluth, Minnesota--a city recognized nationally for its outdoor experiences. Funds raised will support scholarships and after school Adventure Club program, allowing Positive Energy Outdoors to get more youth outside for dog sledding, learning to drive draft horses, kayaking, rock climbing, canoeing, ice climbing and exploring in nature. Positive Energy Outdoors helps young people build skills beyond just trying an activity once. I'm proud of their progression to help youth master skills, become volunteers in the community, and take advantage of education and employment opportunities in the outdoor field as a result of participation in Positive Energy Outdoors' programs.
Positive Energy Outdoors helps youth unplug, connect and grow! Our total fundraising goal is $10,000 to help get local, under-served children and teens outdoors through camp scholarships and our partnerships with local youth agencies including: YWCA Girl Power, Boys and Girls Club of the Northland, Neighborhood Youth Services, Valley Youth Center, Life House and the American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO).
Please help me reach my goal of $1,000 by donating anywhere from $15-$25 or whatever amount is comfortable for you.
Thank you so much for your support!
