Update 8/1:
Thank you so much for the generosity of those that have already donated.
Sunday was a great day – wish I could say that the 26.2 just flew by…yet everything did go according to plan – I finished (relatively) pain-free in 4 hr 10 min.
It was a quintessentially SF foggy morning with the GG Bridge buried in a cloud of white, gulls echoing in the pre-dawn, and a stiff breeze to chill across the Bridge. Lots of spectators in GG Park and on the Haight helped the miles pass – best sign of the day was held by a girl of 10 or 11: “run like Trump is chasing you” – I ran faster!
It’s always a treat to get to spend the morning on a trajectory across one of the most scenic and diverse cities in the world – yet we have work to do on our urban treasure. Please help me make it to my fundraising goal – every little bit helps and San Francisco Streets are definitely in need – WALK SF does great advocacy work to help make them safer, greener and better for all – they are working with the City and other advocacy groups everyday. I hope you’ll join me in supporting their impactful work!
SF Marathon 2019 - Here I come!
Hi Friends!
It's here! I am running the SF Marathon for fifth year running - TOMORROW!
I have logged over 350 training miles, and will hit the road before sunrise. Help me get to the finish line by making a donation - you'll be with me through all 26.2, keeping me smiling to the finish line!
I hope that you'll join me in supporting a cause near and dear - making walking (and Running) more accessible, enjoyable and safe for all those that live in and visit San Francisco. Whether you walk, run or roll the streets of SF - please join me in supporting the important and impact-ful work of WALK SF. http://walksf.org/
I realize that you may not see this until after the event (when my painful post-run quads will be oh so tight) - help ease my pain by donating any time in the next two weeks.
Thank you for your immense generosity!
best, Zoee
