A couple of friends and I in association with the UNICEF and FIA organizations wanted to raise funds and awareness for the current situation relating to George Floyd and racial discrimination.
Our idea was to hold a virtual #RunForJustice event during the week of June 7th to 13th. How it works is that people of all ages will track their runs/walks/jogs during the week with a fitness watch/health mobile app/ treadmill, etc. They will send these measurements to my team and I, and at the end of the week we will donate $1 for every mile ran by our participants.
In order to do this, we are asking for sponsorships and donations from local businesses and individuals. Adults are encouraged to walk/run as well as donate. You can pledge any amount you wish to donate and this will cover the amount that we need in order for our participants to run during the week. And at the end of the week, all of our sponsors and donors will be thanked in a flyer posted on the FIA Facebook page, which receive close to 10,000 views per post along with my friends and I's personal Instagram accounts which combined have over 5,000 followers.
At the end of the day, this is all for a good cause and we hope that you would be willing to sponsor us or donate to this great humanitarian event.
