I was an aspiring artist: the first dancer to receive the elite athletic scholarship to San Francisco State University. Heroin had other plans for me. After years of struggling with addiction, a bad night, a couple broken feet and a completely broken soul, I returned home to the only person who never gave up on me: my mother. She was horrified by what rolled off that plane, completely powerless to help her baby boy. Eventually, I found myself in Impact Treatment Center and it was there my life forever changed.
As founder of Run 4 Recovery, I would like to say THANK YOU. Thank you for your love and support, year after year. Thank you for the cards, letters and email messages which bring us to tears. Thank you for your thoughts and well-wishes which lift our spirits and most of all, thank you for your financial contributions.
Together with our partner, the Puente House Foundation, the Run 4 Recovery scholarship provides basic services to recovering men and women most vulnerable to relapse. Your contribution can make the difference between life and death to those struggling with addiction.
Sincerely thank you,
