As you might remember, last year I ran for YNPN Pgh (Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Pittsburgh). As a member of YNPN Pgh I’ve enjoyed attending networking events and meeting other young professionals in Pittsburgh. The connections YNPN Pgh has helped me make have helped me plant some roots here in Pittsburgh, a city that has constantly surprised me and where I am buying a house to commit further. I’m also running for YNPN Pgh to support Joel, who is currently Vice President of the Board of Directors as well as the Member Relations Committee Chair. Thanks to your incredible generosity last year, I was able to raise more than $1,000 towards their goal. I’m hoping to repeat that success again this year!
YNPN Pgh is the only professional organization in Pittsburgh dedicated specifically to young nonprofit professionals. 2019 marks the tenth year that YNPN Pgh has been in operation. Throughout their 10 years of serving young nonprofit professionals in Pittsburgh, they’ve served more than an estimated 1,000 young professionals.
In 2018 YNPN Pgh engaged 198 paying members, supported 700 non-members, hosted events including networking opportunities, workshops, and lectures, and provided their first ever professional development award to help our members pursue opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford.
I’ll be running the half marathon again this year as well as spearheading the RUN YNPN PGH 2019 race team. Please consider helping me to support this awesome cause. No donation is too small, everything raised goes directly towards programming geared towards connecting young professionals to the resources, people, and ideas they need to become the next generation of Pittsburgh nonprofit leaders!
Thank you all for your continued support!
