I don't have any cool running photos, so above you'll see the documentation of the first time I brought a lunch to work at United Way, complete with our logo in the background. It was like two years ago, but I still remember it like it was two years ago.
Anyway, for the second straight year, I am running the Detroit Free Press half-marathon. Last year, my goal was to finish without stopping, and I did it! This year, I'm trying to pick up the pace.
Once again, I'm running to raise money for United Way for Southeastern Michigan. It's a great feeling to work for an organization that does so much good in the community. Nearly half of households in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties struggle to pay for life's basic necessities at times. We help these people when they need it most. We help parents make sure their kids are ready for kindergarten. And we help people obtain the skills they need to improve their finances and find better jobs. A donation to United Way improves lives across Southeastern Michigan, and it stays local.
Any amount helps. Thank you for your consideration!
