Civil War. Famine. Disease. There is no doubt that Yemen is on the brink of collapse. An estimated 14.8 million people lack access to basic healthcare. Over three million are malnourished.
With COVID-19 coming into the picture, Yemen is getting closer and closer to being wiped off the map.
The ones most deeply affected by this crisis are children. In Yemen, a child dies every 10 minutes from preventable causes. Hunger. Lack of Health Care. War. These children are having their health and education ripped away from them--their futures uncertain.
We want to help.
We are two high school seniors who are determined to raise awarness for the Yemen Humanitarian Crisis. COVID has limited us but we will still be running 5K virtually in our own communities.
Joining the movement is simple:
1) You join our fundraising team and spread the word to your friends, family, and community
2) Pick your location and date during the 1 month timeline from JANUARY 10TH TO FEBRUARY 10TH for the 5K run.
3) Sometime during that 1 month timeline we will all go to our own communities to walk, run, or bike a 5K. We will bring awareness to the Yemen Humanitarian Crisis and raise as much as money possible to help make a difference.
4) If you do not want to participate in the run, think about donating instead.
Donating is easy. Please join us in fighting against this crisis.
