I met my wife, Elizabeth, of 13 years at the United States Naval Academy in 2005, and we have three daughters Olivia (7), Eleanor (5), and Paxton (20 months).
I service selected to go into the Marine Corps and earned the Title Marine in 2005 when I received orders from my first company. I was honored to be able to lead Marines into the Al-Anbar province of Iraq two times during my tenure in the Marine Corps.
After five years with the Marines, I attended graduate school at the University of Florida, where I earned my MBA. My new-found knowledge took me to D.C., where I worked for the Treasury Department and, more specifically, the Office of Financial Research. After another handful of years, my wife (who just left active duty in the Navy as an NFO and still participates as a reservist) and I finally got to decide where we wanted to live, and Charlotte was our destination.
After several interviews with the financial institutions across Charlotte (of which there are several!), I ended up in a last-minute type interview with Sonic Automotive. I was impressed from day one! I’ve been with Sonic Automotive as their Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for just over five years now.
