On June 2, 2018 - James, Carolyn and I will be running (all different distances) the Race 13.1 Raleigh - Spring, North Hills race. We will be doing this to honor our Dad, Rusty, and to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.
Although, Dad had an extremely rare type of dementia, the Alzheimer’s Association does much research in neurocognative decline. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. and currently affects 5.5 million Americans. In turn, Alzheimer's is the only cause of death in the top ten that cannot be cured, prevented, or slowed. This and other dementias need further research to help find better treatment options and strategies for not only those affected, but also the families of those affected.
Help us honor our Dad by donating. Better yet - come run with us!
