Shortly after I graduated from high school, my father, Joe Greer, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He passed away within a year. This occurred during a key moment in my growth as a person at a time when I truly needed a role model such as him. Pancreatic Cancer robbed me of that and robbed the world of a truly great man during his prime. Even today, 25 years later, I miss my dad immensely. I know he would have been a great role model for my four kids (especially my sons) and a true friend that I could confide in and gain counsel. Pancreatic Cancer sucks.
On October 27th, I will be joining the National Pancreas Foundation Team to run through the streets of Washington, DC in the Marine Corps Marathon to raise money for cutting-edge research for those suffering from Pancreatic Cancer and their loved ones. I humbly ask for your financial and emotional support in helping to advocate for better therapies and to provide support and education for patients, caregivers, and health care providers who are touched by this horrible disease. Any amount that you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
