UPDATE...the generosity of our community is overwhelming! We have reached our goal! With your support, the teachers of the Rose Tree Media Education Association will continue to advocate for the students and teachers of RTMSD.
It is hot in our classrooms. With temperatures climbing into the 90s each September and October, and again in May and June, students and teachers are left to sweat it out in the classrooms without air conditioning. With masks on, it is especially uncomfortable. The children constantly ask for mask breaks to feel some relief. We have raised this concern to district leadership in the past, and we have done so again this year to no avail. As tough as it normally is, masks have made it so unbearable that one student told his teacher that he felt like he was melting. We know that our students really need some air circulation, so the Rose Tree Media Education Association, will match donations up to $1500 to purchase the 73 fans needed. This has been an ongoing struggle every year, and these fans are a small way that RTMEA can help our community solve this problem for this year and years to come. Thank you in advance for your generous support!
